Access panel behind toilet – recommendations?
I have to put tiles behind the toilet and want an access panel for the water supply and shutoff. Space is tight. Any suggestions on size or type that actually works well in that spot?

Tight spots behind toilets are annoying. I prefer rectangular panels around 8×12 or 10×12 so you can still get your hand in comfortably. Avoid the round ones – they’re too small for most shutoff valves. Last year I replaced a flimsy one that kept popping open. Went with a sturdy drywall access panel with a metal frame and it’s been solid – no rattling, closes tightly, looks decent too: https://www.amazon.com/Access-Panel-Drywall-Plumbing-Durable/dp/B085617TBL?tag=contractorhub-20 Took maybe 15 minutes to install and I like that it has a strong catch so it doesn’t swing open when someone bumps the toilet. Worth the few extra bucks over the bargain versions.
